Brazil is investing in the health care market! IVAM holds joint booth at HOSPITALAR in São Paulo

Jul 3, 2015
May 2015 saw São Paulo hosting the 22nd iteration of South America’s largest medical technology trade show, HOSPITALAR. Almost 1,300 exhibitors from more than 30 countries made best use of the 82,000m² of exhibition space to showcase their medical technology products. For the first time, IVAM was present with a joint booth as a part of the German Pavilion. Exhibitors considered the trade show a success, which was likely fueled by the fact that German products are highly sought after in Brazil. “The Brazilians love Germany”, German vice consul Uwe Heye remarked at the consulate’s reception at the trade show. Nevertheless, it is very important to properly prepare for the show: leaflets and displays in Portuguese language are just as important as high-quality service at the booth itself.

IVAM and NRW International cooperated to host a seminar during the congress program, entitled “Alta tecnologia alemã para dispositivos médicos – German High-tech for Medical Devices”. The talks focused on several fields where German medical technology products can be employed on the Brazilian market – from mobile infectious disease diagnostics to manufacturing methods for lab-on-a-chip components, or laser technology for detection and treatment of muscle tenseness or rheuma.

Next year’s HOSPITALAR will take place May 15-20, 2016. The trade show is partitioned into four focus points: “Diagnostica“, “Digital Health“, “Hospfarma“ and “Comphealth“ (MedTech/Manufacturing). IVAM will once again organize a joint booth and assist all potential exhibitors in their preparations for entering the Brazilian market.
