"Solutions for Life" is the motto of the MST Regional Conference NRW, which takes place in Dortmund on September 1-2, 2015 for the twelfth time. At the conference, experts in the field of micro- and nanotechnologies will introduce ground-breaking technical developments in medical technology ("Solutions for Health"), and smart buildings ("Solutions for Home").
With the subtopics "Health" and "Home", the conference focuses on two areas of application of micro- and nanotechnology, which are particularly promising and diverse. Practically everybody may benefit from the technological advances made possible in these two fields.
The control of health and fitness, fast and reliable diagnostics, precisely dosed drug administration, patient-friendly therapies and targeted clinical research are objectives in medicine, for which the speakers will present innovative solutions.
In the area of house and home, the aims of current technical developments presented at the conference include high efficiency in heating and power supply, autonomous energy production, increase of comfort and safety, information and entertainment.
The 12
th MST Regional Conference starts on September 1 at the conference center Westfalenhallen Dortmund with keynote speeches and workshops. On the second day, September 2, more workshops and company presentations will take place in the two competence centers MST.factory dortmund and Centre for Production Technology (ZFP) at the high-tech industry site PHOENIX West.
So, in addition to exciting insights into the life of tomorrow, which is gaining in quality and comfort thanks to micro- and nanotechnologies, the conference will also give an overview of the various technologies and services offered by the Dortmund-based companies.
The MST Regional Conference at Dortmund has established itself as a communication platform for researchers, manufacturers and users of advanced technologies. The conference has been held annually since 2004. It is organized by the City of Dortmund Economic Development Agency and IVAM Microtechnology Network with support of the Technology Centre Dortmund.
