Bergische Universität Wuppertal - Institut für Polymertechnologie (IZ4)

The interdisciplinary centre "Institute for Polymer Technology (IfP)" of the University of Wuppertal builds a bridge across basic scientific research, material sciences and engineering sciences. Research projects at IfP currently focus on organic electronics/hybrid electronics and innovative composite materials. The IfP has extensive expertise in the areas of solar cells, (O)LEDs and thin-film transistors.

Number of research groups: 10

Services

The IfP offers support and services for research and development in these areas:

  • material synthesis
  • Simulation of the physical properties of (composite) materials
  • process engineering development work
  • Coating/structuring technology
  • Feasibility studies and technology transfer
  • Material characterization and sample analysis
